McMillers Outlaws and Hectors Banditos
« on: October 03, 2018, 12:31:56 PM »
At last years RPC in Germany I`ve played Dead Man's Hand for the first time and really liked it. So over time I gathered a couple of miniatures here and there and started painting up a gang. With the help of Dennis, from Chaosbunker.de I was also able to give my paintjob more of a projectfeel to it, as I still am presenting minis on almost a weekly basis on his page.

But enough babbling, this is the current guy to be seen on the page. Weasel, a shady fella is part of a seven man gang.

EDIT: There is some better pictures here https://www.chaosbunker.de/en/2018/10/03/dead-mans-hand-outlaws-part-5/#more-22275.

Nicely done, the high contrast highlights work well - you should post the other 4 gang members here too

I`ve got only a snapshot from three of the crew, but the other gangmembers have their own little blogentry already. There`s also a story connecting all of the characters. When my protagonist is done with his gang we`ll have a small campaign on the Bunker.

Wow, your painting's great.

I've got some old west minis to base soon - what fllock have you used? I'm struggling to find a colour as good as yours.

Oof...I don`t know from what company it was, I kept that static gras in a seperate box now for a couple of years, but I know it`s called "Burned Grass". It has a slightly yellowish touch to it, which looks good on desert bases.

Nice selection of ruffians there Dino  8) I like the one with the brown duster, very brooding.

Ah thanks - as you say, perfect for that type of 'scrub' base. Cheers!

Beautiful! I love the sharp highlights - they really make the miniatures "pop". I think I've painted all those miniatures, and was too afraid to push the highlights, but I might have to revisit them and add a final sharp highlight, because I love how these look. Very inspiring! Looking forward to more from you.

Well I still have a bit of Wild West stuff left for the Wednesdays, so simply take a look over on the Chaosbunker from time to time  ;)

This Wednesday I`m showing an indian called "Snake in the grass". A trustworthy fella.
