I will not take the obvious rules distraction and will instead advise that most times size matters...just ask Sir Gilbert Hill’s secretary Miss Fragrance Sweetmeat who has ‘alledgedly’ visited the recently captured Commander of The Kings Own Colonials Stokkie Joubert (Captured by the Anglicans during the recent crossing of the Wye) on several occasions for debriefings
Stokkies often handled his ‘Long Tom’ during the Second Boer War with deft skill
We've been using 'Went The Day Well', mainly because that's what the boys use at the Hereford games and the VBCW Society show games. They're not a brilliant set of rules, but they're reasonably good fun. We've also used Force on Force which was interesting, but range means nothing in those rules and I like something that encourages a bit more manoeuvre.The quest for the ideal set of rules continues...It's not the size that matters, it's what you do with it. At least that's what Mrs Fawr says...
