Shetland leg of Good bad and Ugly HOTT tournament November 10th
« on: October 05, 2018, 06:31:57 AM »
Guys the Shetland leg of this international HOTT tournament has finally been scheduled.
The event will be held on the 10th November 10am start.
The venue is the Isleburgh Center Lerwick room 13
This will be a shorter event than previous years as only thinking of having 3 games.
The usual home bakes will be served.

The Shetland leg of this years Good, bad and Ugly 2018 tournament has just been held.
We had a total of 8 players including 3 newbies, also a few people who dropped by to see how things went.
The first prize went to Steven Renwick who received a wonderful battle Valor designs Scalian army. Second prize was George Miller who received a pack of Battle valor designs Scalian linebreakers. Tail end Charlie was Esther Mitchell who got some lovely Battle Valor personalities to console her for coming last.
Andy Noble won the best themed army which was Mythic Greek with a serious looking minotaur as a behemoth.
The best Stronghold prize went to Stephen Renwick who fielded an Aztec temple complex. The prize was literally a small town of stone age huts by Dragonfrog games.

A big thanks to Martin Mitchell of Dragonfrog games who generously provided all the prizes.
There was a final treat at the end of the day where all competitors received a 15mm splintered light giant drawn blind out of a bag.

Tables set up and just waiting on players.

The table with boxes of loan armies and terrain. Also two boxes of homebakes provided by the wife.

Andy and George battle it out. Barsoom versus Mythic Greeks.

A fantasy goblin army versus some very historical Macedonian types. Elephants as behemoths.

Tremor style worms vs barbarians

The field of combat

Andy's winning theme army

The winning Stronghold

The prize winners all chuffed with their DragonFrog goodies.
