Hereford Autumn Big Game - Bridge Over Trebbled Water
« on: October 16, 2018, 08:09:56 PM »
Local worthies, lead by the redoubtable Sir Gilbert Hill, launched a cross-river assault against troops representing the so-called “Government” and their BUF allies.

The assault boats go in and pontoon bridges are under construction. The enemy have set fire to an oil slick in the hope of preventing the crossing

The ladies of the Ewyas Harold and Pontrilas WI pilot their boat towards the enemy

One of the Anglican pontoon bridge building parties is spooked by a sudden thunder storm and work grinds to a halt

An effective smoke screen keeps casualties to a minimum.......

......although not all the boats escaped unscathed

A smashing and entertaining report.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Fantastic!

I might one day forgive you lot for consistently organising games to coincide with my holidays abroad, but not any time soon, as it looks like I missed a treat!  >:(

Mark

We missed you. The solution is simple. Don’t go away in March or October - simples.

See, that's what I'm talking about - I'm always away in March and October... A shabby Fifth-Columnist trick...

Great report Doug. Good to see Sir Gilbert's forces fighting again.
