My pumpkin patches have stalled out more than once due to my general lack of enthusiasm. The lack of enthusiasm was not in the project itself as I really want the fields but in the repetitive process of punching out every leaf one at a time. It did not help that I was using superglue to attach the leaves to the vines. Needless to say it drove me scatty when the leaves glued to everything but the vine.
I started four years ago by using excess putty from other projects to make individual pumpkins of varying size and shape. Once I had enough I made a mold and cast up about a hundred of them. I ended up tossing the old attempts mostly out of frustration. Then about two months ago a friend was raiding my bits box and found the bag of pumpkins. He asked if he could have some so I gave him a batch and then decided that they needed using. Here they are mounted with solder vines.
Here are a couple of shots with the leaves attached.
This time I am using gloss medium gel to attach the leaves and that has worked much better. Once they are dry I will glaze all the paper with superglue prior to painting. I have two bases completely done and I am about 3/4 done with the last.
Hope you like
