So, I was able to focus and get some work done on my Venice stuff. Some of you may have seen the au naturel version of my Venice project tucked away on page two of my TOS post. A recap of those pics lead off the pictures in this post.

Well this past week I finished off the main construction of the 20 buildings plaza sections, and bridges. All the buildings and bridges have been primed in their respective main colours.
Meanwhile the plazas have been sprayed black, brown, dark grey, light grey,  Khaki and brown inked, they are essentially done.

This week I hope to finish off the detail bits for all buildings and bridges.

After that it will be boats and some other extras.

Oh regarding the pics, the roofs are just there for inspiration, and to give a sense of things to come...

As usual game day approaching, self imposed deadline in an attempt to finish this project, but this time with actual progress!

Game day has come and gone, and I was able to get most of Venice completed in time. I had 18 buildings to finish off, which are for the most part completed. There are still some window frames and shutters to be finished, some other touch up that have suddenly become very apparent in the pictures, but overall I am happy with the amount of work that I got done.

Part of the slow down happened as a result of my decision to try and pimp out the buildings with brick and stone embossed paper. Once I figured out what I was doing it did move along fairly quickly.

At any rate here are some pictures of the, more or less, finished table.

Oh yeah, it was a Christmas theme game and these initial pictures have a special lighting effect, future post will be more 'normal'

FYI I deployed 9 groups of 5 figures to represent hostile bystanders, who were under the control of the big bad villain, the Puppet Master!
