Interested in the rules, not so much the figures. The CAD designed stuff is very hit or miss for me and in this case a miss. Hopefully they will come up with printed versions of the cards available without the figs...

These is a rules only option mate in the KS

Either sofback with 1 set of cards or hardback with 2 sets of cards

Yep, and in their newest up date they say.

"The rule book will have cards printed in it for both sides that can be cut out and we will be providing a download PDF of both sides once the game is launched.
Players will also be able to buy additional Card packs when the KS is completed via our BackerKit."
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

That sounds right. But, what is the use of the unit cards? Are they only a source of information?

Pretty much, they have the units states. And their will be enough to play the game as a one card per a fig, One card per 2 figs(buddy teams), One card for a 4 man section/fire team, and one card for a squad. So you can play it any of those levels of detail. And yes the Unit cards just seem to have the units stats and special rules if any for the min/team/squad it represents.

Thanks; I like the use of cards in place of unit charts or tables. On the other hand, I think it will be very easy to create new cards for other units or forces (I have a German RCON team I would like to use in the game).

Definately, I think if you take stats from sangin books it will be easy to do

Now onto October!

Wait October? Ack! :(

Hopefully we'll see some rules release prior to that. I'm in need of some rules for a game I'll be putting on next year...

Never fear they are sending out the 24 page beta so suspect all who pledge can also get involved with the development

Yep, and their will be a backer kit, which they said will have the items that were not able to get funded. Including the Boomerang and Stryker Dragoon.

I'll need to keep an eye on the potential further releases. Though whether they have a Kickstarter discount, or because they weren't unlocked will be there for retail is a ponder. However, I'd be buying them once they go up for sale anyway (ah, if my mind hasn't wandered by then...), so that's not too much of an issue.

Regardless, in the year it'll potentially take till release, perhaps we'll see other modern releases. That Russian vehicle may have a lot of potential, so if nobody else sells the other vehicles which use its turret I'd like to buy just that part and pair it with a T-14 Armata to make a T-15, or a BMP-3 to turn it into a robot (yes, I'm very insistent on wanting that vehicle :) ). Hmn....
