20mm Winter Game Project
«

I've started a 1945 winter game, British and Germans. Here are some trees, hedges and buildings. Next up fields and roads.

Moving forward with this, here is the first terrain board of six.
Grass is from Michael’s Leemax Hollween Collection. It’s a mesh covered with moss, glued to MDF, dry brushed white, white glue and Woodlands Scenics Soft Flake Snow sprinkled on. Rubber road covered with snow mash and again sprinkled with Snow Flake. Just an example shot of terrain placed on the board to see how it all looks.
Also beginning of fence, matchsticks and coffee stir sticks cut to length.

I spent some time scratch building some barbed wire roads fences and a back yard for the blacksmith shop for The Battle of Kievelburg, Jan 1945. The Americans south of here are in the Battle of the Bulge, while the British sectors are fairly quiet. The Germans pushed into this unoccupied village in the night and The Sherwood Rangers Yeomanry are tasked to take it back. This is from David Renders book Tank Action. Rule set Rapid Fire. Of course it could really be used for anywhere.
This is one of six boards. It is a representation of what it will look like. Here are a couple of photos.

Looks that realistic, I’d have to game it wearing a wooly hat and scarf.
