The Billionaire Quincy Harker has just recently acquired an old plantation down in Louisiana to add to his worldwide portfolio, & his only daughter Erica freshly married to Sir Donald Blackwell have headed down to spend their honeymoon there.

The plantation was formerly owned by the brilliant but mad scientist Archibald  Meade, who under F.B.I investigation seems to have vanished from the face of the earth.

Tasha was out when the phone rang, probably gone for some vodka & cigars thought Chip as he lifted the receiver to his ear,


"Chip Spud Private Investigators how may I help you ?"

Women's voice "Hello may I speak to Mr Spud please"

Chip"This is him"

Woman"My name is Monica, I'm  Quincy Harker's personal assistant I wonder if you could come over to his home at once, it is a matter of the graves important's"

Upon reaching the house Chip quickly explained to Harker & Monica what had happened, while Sir Donald grabbed a changed of shirt; different hat & a .45, Tasha took the opportunity to get a bottle of vodka from the drinks cabinet & then they were out the door heading for the car.

Sir Donald"We should be able to catch them up as there's only the one road that leads to both the house here & the shack"

Jumping into the drivers seat with Sir Donald beside him & Tasha in the back, Chip started the car up & spun it round in a cloud of dust, then race off quickly moving up through the gears.
It wasn't long before they seen the tail lights of the truck up ahead of them, ping  as a bullet ricocheted off the hood, the shot had come from the back of the truck, hearing the sound Tasha took a good swig of vodka.

Epic pulp! Great story. Excellent cliff hanger ending on part 1. Intriguing finish to part 2. Great indoor and outdoor scenery. Nice vehicles. That cracked terrain mat in the New Mexico scene looks really good. Was this a solo or 2 player game?

If that's supposed to mean "used to be owned by Archibald" the word is "formerly" there.  Formally means something entirely different.  It's a surprisingly common mistake, and drives me to distraction even worse that they're/there/their errors do.

Presumably a joke on your part but I'll play along.  That's too.  "Surely on occasion you make mistakes too."  As in, also.  Nowhere near as common as their/there/they're is, but still something I see pretty often.

One of my many sideline jobs besides painting is doing proofreading.  The last job along those lines had an even dozen "formally/formerly" errors in a sixteen page document.  To put it mildly, it's a sensitive topic until my scars heal.
