Agis Inquisitor Martyr inspired repaints...
« on: October 27, 2018, 10:52:57 AM »
I am playing very casually I: Martyr at the moment.
Easy mode, just to get the stry, maybe 1 or 2 mission an evening. Big fu so far.

I also inspired me to dig out some 10 to 20 years old minis and retouch them a bit.
Similar to the treatment my old school edlar received: http://www.adpublishing.de/html/eldar.html

So here we go, old school metal Inquisitor related minis:

Inquisitorial Death Cult Assassins

Inquisitor Hand and two Henchmen from the Daemonifuge comic.
I painted him in the colours that are shown in the Inquis Exterminatus book.
The miniature is from the limited edition diorama set with Sister Stern.
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - http://www.adpublishing.de

Lovely repaints!

Never seen that Inquisitor before, nice figure.
Always loved the fat scribe as well but never have picked one up yet.

Thanks folks!
Never seen that Inquisitor before, nice figure.

The Inq is indeed very rare, a limited Edition GW sale…

And some more:

Inquisitor Coteaz right out of the box. This minis was lying around since the release of the 1st Grey Knight Codex.
After seeing the absolutely fantastic fan made CGI movie trailer for “LordI” I decided to dig him out of the “Lead Pile” TM and give him a red paintjob as shown in the trailer.

The second mini is an age old Daemonhunter...
For months a half painted conversion was sitting on my desk. Basically a very old Terminator Armour wearing Inquisitor from Jes Goodwin, armed with a force halberd and a psycannon from the current Grey Knight range. Works quite well for me.

Great paintjob as always, but those arms on that demon hunter really don't do it for me and only enhances the inherent ridiculousness of the original terminator design, I mean either his arms are actually attached above his shoulders, or his head is coming out of his belly  lol

So true, you can't look at the old models with human anatomy in mind! ;)

They are more modern arms on the conversion though. His anatomy looks better with his original arms.

Nice work on everything - as usual.  8)
I love the assassins, and was actually shocked to hear them labelled as 'old school' - is it that long ago already?
Unfortunately, it is! So I dug out my old Vindicares to get them done after all these years.

I know the feeling, you got some “new” minis still to paint and relalise when a new version comes out that they waited many years in the “to paint” queue.
