Some of those sculpts are real turds, and yet I have the urge to buy the lot! :D

Great fun, esp. the mummy and the Ripper sets!

Most of them look really awful. There's much better stuff available I think.

I tend to agree with matakishi, but I guess its all a matter of taste! :)

For every one "Interesting Sculpt" there are 5 or 6 dire ones!
If they sold them separately I might cherry pick some decent ones, but fat chance of that.

I think there are some dodgy ones in amongst them, they kind of remind me of the Mega minis and some of the early Cthulu figures in sculpting style. However I dont think the painted versions on the background does them any favours to be honest.

I think the problem is Bob Naismith sculpted them. He knows how to use putty, but I think his talents have not progressed since the early years in miniatures design.

Some of these are good but I think most are not. He did the same thing with the Starship Troopers stuff and his own lines (as well as too many to list)

Oh well, that's what Copplestone, Artizan, Foundry and Pulp Miniatures are for. :)
It's not cheating if your stupid.

I think there are some nice ones around. Particular the Frankenstein set and the Werewolve set are nice. The painting and layout surely doesn't help them and I don't understand the reason for that rim on the precast bases which I had preferred to be seperate to be honest. I'm very curious to see how the castings look when you have them in hand. Since they fit to the Westwind ones in size they are a great addition to the victorian figures already out there.

Actually, I really like the mummy set, except for the chap with the poofy pants and shotgun. The Werewolves are horrible.

The rest I think aren't that good but I also think that besides the sculpting, there is probably some intent maybe to have them look this way? Probably ti fit the theme better. I don't know.

Either way, some are good, some are bad. I do agree Tom, I hope those bases aren't permanent.

Is it just me or do some of them looing like drawings of what the miniatures will look like and not actual miniatures? I particular, look at the mummy set. All the figures have an ink line around them. This doesn't appear on the other figures.

I believe you are correct. The mummy set is artist rendering.

It's funny how subjective this all is. The figures most people are complaining about is the werewolves and I absolutely love that middle werewolf.

The mummy set has had the lines added, probably so the whiter figures didn't look too flat against the background when it was added.
