New Future/SciFi vehicles 1:56 and more
« on: October 31, 2018, 07:11:25 AM »
Some ideas I sketched out on a possible new line of SciFi models.  First prints will be in 6mm to go with some ground forces I made for my 6mm spacecraft. I hope to have a couple of 3D printers set up to print out the smaller scale versions at home.  But I designed this model in 1:56 so I can have some back up firepower to the 28mm space marines and troops I've acquired through the years.  I hope to have a series of hulls and swappable turrets 6mm, 15mm, 20mm and 28mm scale. I'm going to also experiment with flexible track configurations as well as spherical tires.

Nice designs.

They might need better mine resistance and some skirts (unless they use fields for protection).

Are you going for an Ultramodern vibe or Far Future?

I like them :)

I think they'd look better if the sides sloped downwards a bit, makes it look like the suspension is better protected.

It would be great if the wheels were available seperately.

I'm thinking far future for these.  I have several types of suspension I was looking at.  Standard tires as shown, Ball style tires below that would allow rolling in and direction, and mini treads.

1/50 might be a more popular scale.

Yeah, these would be bigger, not smaller.  Its SciFi after all....

Really like the vehicle on the right. Feels quite different to others in the market. The tank turret is nicely done but feels quite conventional by comparison. Like the ball wheels.

It's not big, or clever, but let's do it anyway
