28mm WSS Bavarians
« on: November 04, 2018, 09:14:58 AM »
Hi,

I'm never sure if my Lace Wars stuff should go in here or in the 'Age Of Big Battalions' forum, so if this is the wrong place I apologise.

I finally finished a 28mm Bavarian Infantry brigade I've been working on - The figures are a mix of Wargames Factory/Warlord games, Ebor miniatures & Front Rank. Some of the WF/WG plastics have had Ebor heads added as I feel the heads are the weakest part of the sculpts (I hate the googly eyes on some heads!)

Here is the first (not great) photo - I'll add more later.

Tim

Edit: The excellent flags are from Flags Of War

Individual Units....

Leibgarde - Wargames Factory figures converted with Ebor heads and a few Warfare Miniatures casualties for interest. Flags from Flags Of War

Kurprinz Grenadiers - Wargames Factory figures. Flags from Flags Of War

Regiment de Maffei - Wargames Factory figures. Flags from Flags Of War

D'Arco's Cuirassiers - Wargames Factory figures with sword arms by Warfare Miniatures Flag from Maverick Model Flags

My commander (Maximillian II Emanuel) - Wargames Factory figure converted with bits from Warfare Miniatures

Tim.

Very nice.  Your conversions work really well and give an added uniqueness to the units.  I was surprised as to how good the Wargames Factory models look given some of their other dire sculpts.

Very nice work.  I'll second the comments about both the conversions and the results obtained with the WF box sets.
Been playing with toy soldiers since the mid 70s.  Not planning to grow up any time soon.

Thanks for the comments guys.

The heads from Ebor miniatures are fantastic they do tricorns both with and without the 'rosette'.
I am working on British, Hesse-Kassel and Danish Brigades at the moment, the bulk of the sentinels (private soldiers) are made up of Wargames Factory plastic figures with Ebor head swaps.

Very nice indeed...

And I agree...a good call on the new heads.

All the best.  Aly
