You don't do anything by halves, that's for sure.

This is really impressive!

I’ve been thinking about GoT giants today ....I really like the Elladan Wun Weg, but he is really big....ok, yes, he is a giant afterall....but the model is 5” tall and towers over the ordinary human models.

I’ve been rewatching the TV series, and the CMON Savage Giants are more “in scale”, but I’m personally not a massive fan of the actual sculpts, so I hit upon the following solution...

I managed to get hold of the Ymir model from Bloodrage...a bit bigger than the CMON giants admittedly, but significantly smaller than the Elladan model - the Ymir figure is essentially wearing his birthday outfit, so I needed to add some clothing, which will hopefully give the impression of a number of previous owners fur.

I then took a couple of the CMON giants and hacked them about a bit to change the pose and then added some more green stuff fur, and ended up with the following - I’m going to use the Savage giants as undead... rationalising them on being smaller than Wun Weg in part due to survival of the fitness.

Stunning work. I love these, super unique.

Did the Mantic giant interest you at all? It might be good fodder for conversions.

Thanks everyone, glad you like them

 :)

I did originally look at the Mantic giant, but from their description it’s far too tall for my needs (19cm)...making it actually taller than the Elladan giant (but less bulky). 75-100mm looks about right for the TV version...plus has the benefit of making it more cost effective to field more than one.

I know the irony of wanting giants that aren’t too...giant  lol

A bit of a diversion today...got a bit tired of snowy bases, so thought I’d paint a couple of figures that may be more suitable for Essos than Westeros.

No plans for full scale armies...just a couple of figures for maybe a skirmish...I can stop whenever I like...honest...

Thanks both.   :)

They are indeed from Gangs of Rome .... another part of the lead pile that has been devoured by my ever expanding Game of Thrones project.

You know you want/need both Dothraki and Unsullied in both summer and winter edition. And the Golden Company.
