A few things on the go currently, most of which aren’t at a very exciting point picture wise, but I’ve started another ship.

I think it might end up being an Ironborn ship...too small for the Silence, but a good size for a raiding party....of course, I haven’t actually made/painted any Ironborn yet, so that’s another thing added to the to-do list  :D

The card add-ons need a bit of a tidy up before I start to add the planking, but it hopefully gives you an idea of the basic shape.

Which kit is this new ship based on?

Seeing you having started your third ship already, reminds me I really need to finish my own Westerosi ship ::)

Thanks all  :)

It’s the same Zvezda Medieval cog kit as the Targaryen ship, I’ve just left off some of the plastic superstructure, and added the extra two masts etc to change the profile.

I’d be interested to see some pictures of your own WIP  :)

How long are those zveda ships?

I've been eyeing Sarissas cog, but a plastic ship is probably easier to put together.

Just measured the Targaryen model, and it is 32cm long x 13cm wide at the waterline. If you measure from the forecastle to the stern it is 41cm long (doesn’t include the dragon figurehead as that wasn’t part of the kit).

I think the Zvezda kits are 1:72 as well, rather than 1:56, so they're a tiny bit smaller than 28mm scale. It's not too much of an issue, but the accessories that come with the ships are a bit tiny when put next to some 28mm figures!

It is indeed 1/72.... the ladders are a little bit small, and personally I wouldn’t bother with the shields...particularly as some of mine will be used for multiple Houses.

Limited time this weekend, so only another 7 unsullied finished...6 rank & file, plus a standard bearer. I also replaced the spears on the first 18 I painted up some time ago...the original Victrix spear arms were by far the most flimsy of any of my figures, and after a couple of near misses, I decided to redo them all, with metal spears.

The existing Victrix hands were just too tiny for my 0.7mm drill (?) so I replaced them with slightly more substantial hands/arms, from Frostgrave or Oathmark.

Just a reminder, my recipe for Unsullied is Victrix Hypaspists Bodies, and shields (the latter with a bit of Greenstuff added), Fireforge Byzantine Spearmen helmets, and then more GS to pad out the leggings, and the face guard.

Thanks everyone ...now I’ve sorted the spears to my satisfaction, hopefully I can churn some more out  :D

Next up, some cavalry for the Golden Company - Crusader Miniatures, with a couple of Perry headswops for variety, and Gripping Beast shields.

When I bought these, I originally had them in mind for Stannis...indeed the colour scheme meant I could have changed my mind again right up to the last minute, but I think the flowing barding fits in well with the baggy robes of the Frostgrave cultists I’m using for the regular infantry....sorry Stannis.

Group shot of the Golden Company so far...

Needless to say, need more of everything...
