Nice work, the golden-yellow works really well honestly!

When I bought these, I originally had them in mind for Stannis...indeed the colour scheme meant I could have changed my mind again right up to the last minute, but I think the flowing barding fits in well with the baggy robes of the Frostgrave cultists I’m using for the regular infantry....sorry Stannis.

Poor Stannis...though it's 100% in-character for people to see Stannis and decide "You know what, let's work for the other guy"  lol

Thanks everyone for your comments  :)

Stop it  lol

It would be an interesting project to build a small section of the Wall, perhaps with Castle Black, but more action seems to happen around Winterfell and Kings Landing, so it’s not exactly a priority right now, especially given I’ve just started making a small slice of Kings Landing...  ;)

Blimey, you've really got moving with this one since I last checked it out.  :-*

Cheers, I’ve got into a decent groove of trying to finish a unit every week...not always possible, but it’s a good goal. Even when time is limited, or my energy is flagging I still try and get something done, even if it’s a few more movement trays.

Poor Stannis...though it's 100% in-character for people to see Stannis and decide "You know what, let's work for the other guy"  lol

Its daft, but I am genuinely beginning to feel a bit sorry for Stannis....I can almost feel that glum 28mm face staring at me, as I put yet another unit on a different shelf ....  ;D

The existing Victrix hands were just too tiny for my 0.7mm drill (?) so I replaced them with slightly more substantial hands/arms, from Frostgrave or Oathmark.

You need to get a pin vice. Over here they are sold with a dozen or so tiny drill bits hidden away in the handle. Only about $11 CAD as well.  :)

I’m using a pin vice, hence the 0.7mm drill bit....it’s just that the Victrix Hypaspist hands were tiny....by the time I’d drilled a gap for the spear, there was nothing left of the hand.

 ;)

It's like the Tell-Tale Heart, except Stannis is grinding his teeth under the floorboards!  :D

Been a while since I've had a chance to sit and properly go through everything you've done Akula - got to say I'm super excited to see where the ship goes.

Have you seen Mantic's upcoming game release? It's a naval game called Armada, and altho the scale is different to what you're doing here, might be another chance to flex your considerable creative muscles.

Loving it all and can't wait to see more.

Thanks everyone, I’ve had v.limited hobby time the last month due to work etc, and what time I’ve had has been spent upon reorganising my games room, and adding more table space.

I hope to be able to spend some time this week on the project, and get everything back on track again

 :)

Thank you mate - I have been eyeing up the Mantic game...undecided upon the actual models, but a mass naval game certainly appeals as part of a wider campaign.

Hope to make some more progress on the Ironborn ship soon.
