Battle Ravens
« on: November 07, 2018, 08:18:55 PM »

Dan Mersey has a new game coming out called Battle Ravens which was lucky enough to be able to review. While it is technically a board game, it would look beautiful with miniatures and I thought some here might be interested.

Can't wait until 11/20/18!  I wonder if different color base stands would also help differentiate armies and troop types?

Indeed it looks interesting. :)
Nick, do you think if we use bases of 4x2cm with 15mm will work?
I was thinking on using dba/dbm armies.

I was thinking on using dba/dbm armies.

Each zone is 12cm wide, so you could certainly fit three 40mm bases across it. You need 18 hirdmen, 18 bondi, and 3 thralls per army, so it is a lot of figures using DBX basing. It'd look fantastic though.

Looks like the Kickstarter has started...

I hope this gets funded as it's a really fun wee game.

Looks like a nice little filler game, and of course you can use your Saga warbands to play it if you want.

...mainly because somebody made a substantial non-pledge contribution, but anyway, whatever works.

I didn't notice. Is it possible to tell? And does it really matter?

Add up the backers and the pledges.

But no, it doesn't matter. Just interesting.

And I am a backer, so pleased to see it funded.
