We played the hypothetical SYW battle of Lutzingen lat night https://corlearshookfencibles.blogspot.com/

And the glorious general led the advance
With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss

Looks great.  Great that you got to try Keith’s new rules. ;)
Been playing with toy soldiers since the mid 70s.  Not planning to grow up any time soon.

Must have been an exciting game! Eager to know your experience with Keith's new rules!

We liked the rules. I made a number of errors. Various modifiers were ignored for the first few turns and some rules were overlooked for the entire game. It was our first try. It felt right. There are a few things in the melee phase that need to be ironed out, but there's not that much melee. A number of charges were stopped by fire.

The 50% breakpoint is easier to reach than we first thought. Retreating or weakened units count as half a unit routed towards your breakpoint, as did Prussian units on some terrain count against the Austrians in this scenarios. So even when few or no units have routed off the table, a side can still be in deep water if a lot of their units on the table are in bad shape.
