What scale are Crooked Dice Vehicles?
« on: November 10, 2018, 12:40:33 PM »
Hi,
I've just got a set of 4 Hotwheels 1/55 Fast and Furious cars.  Compairing them to some of my Crooked Dice figs they look OK but how do they scale with the Crooked Dice vehicles like the Interceptor?  What scale are the Crooked Dice Vehicles?
Many thanks, George.

I have previously been told they are scaled to 1/50 scale.

This is the Crooked Die ones not the Pardulon ones.

Interceptor with Hasslefree Cartwright Brothers (larger than Crooked Dice figures).

William Killian with Interceptor and two Spectre cars.

Scale shot of Cartwright with two CD figures.

HMMWV and William Killian.

Land Rover and...

Transit and Evil Bear 1/50 scale Panther CLV.

Tortuga truck.

I think the Fast n Furious series are a reasonably true 1/55, they're certainly bigger than the "standard" 1/64 'ish Hotwheels.  I bought a couple based on the advertised scale rather than my own judgement. IMO they work with 28mm minis on their own. They certainly won't mix in well scale wise if you start using 1/43 diecasts alongside them. I don't presently own any Crooked Dice vehicles but use the CD accessories for modifying/accessorising other makes, particularly the Disney Cars range, which, if you avoid the blatantly cartoony ones, provide some useful 30's thru' to 60's models. Can post some comparison shots of various vehicle makes (sorry, no Crooked Dice!!) if you like. Cheers, GDonk

Hi,
Thanks for this.  I bought 2 sets of toy cars on eBay, one was a set of old Matchbox Superking cars and one was the 1/55 Fast and Furious cars.  Neither set was expensive so I'll keep both sets until I get some Crooked Dice vehicles when the Apocalypse kickstarter delivers and see which set is visually the best match.

Hi, I found this comparison image on the Chaosbunker web site

The comparison of the Crooked Dice Paranormal Investigator vehicle with a 1/43 car shows it is a good match to the 1/43 car, at least visually.

Thanks for replying UVS! CD vehicles are 1/50th. The Pardulon vehicles are a little larger than the rest, but do take drivers.
