So here is the start of my Afrika Korps Army. The figures are from the Command blister by Warlord Games. Lovely figures, my painting does not do them justice. The officer has me remembering a certain Airfix figure.

 Great painting. I wonder though, are you sure that the officer you are referring to was not a Matchbox figure that came with the Wespe kit?

The grenade thrower on the plastic box artwork looks like another Airfix homage.

Thank you for the kind comments. I have been making up some of the plastic figures and there are more Airfix memories.
