LAF connection troubles

Is anyone else having trouble with LAF?
I started having serious issues connecting last Saturday when the site only gave me a blank white page with not even an error message and that lasted for a few hours.
After that, I've gotten alarmingly frequent cases of "Bad Gateway 502", "Gateway Timeout 504" and something called "SMF was unable to connect to the database" for two days now, something that I don't seem to be suffering on any other site.

Yes, happened earlier today (Monday) to me too. Likely nothing on our user end, but just heavier than usual traffic at the servers. (Perhaps bots or some other automated calls, not necessarily due to human users.)

Had problems early today but seemed to sort itself out.

I guess LAF is getting popular then.

Oddly I remember when the Post Apocalyptic board was being spammed by hundreds of bots there wasn't a massive dip in connectivity, but that may have been due to how they were accessing the site.

(It was funny that it got so bad that LAF had to ban non-users from the board at one point though. Those Fallout games must have been just that popular)

Seems to be better now, but I too felt a million voices cry out at the lack of connection

I did notice that over the weekend, I sometimes got a bare-bones page, with all the information on it, but just white, with fugly blue letters, like the most basic of HTML pages. Refreshing the page usually solved this, and the standard layout was displayed again.

I racked it up to site maintenance...
