This one is just too close to call!!
Victory is guaranteed to the last man standing, but always remember those whom you stepped on to get there!!

The French suffered more than 200,000 deaths in WWII they must have seen some fighting…  :?

The French are very nicely painted, and they got my vote.  However, the eyes are overdone, making it appear that they're all wearing gangster masks.  My paintjobs often have this problem as well, and I've gotten used to being on the lookout for it, although it's often beyond my ability to correct it.   :(

The Americans are nice as well, although they're a little too flat, lacking much in the way of highlights and shading.  For example, because their straps are almost the same color as their jackets, they need some blacklining or shading to separate the straps from the jackets.

The French had some very good troops. Some French Units, especially some of the Colonial troops, put up a stiff fight against the Germans.

But, I just couldn't resist poking a little fun  :D

@ Navy Colt, Well now it looked like it’s my turn to take a beating in front of the French…  lol

Agree with Mancha’s comment. I could have put more shading around the webbing… maybe I should have used a black undercoat? They are Plastic 1/72 Valiant Miniatures and they’re already lacking depth in the details…  :?

I agree with you for the eyes. It's the problem for close up view and table view. perhaps sometimes it's better to not paint the eyes at all.

The French are awesome, though it does look like I painted the eyes...   lol

Calimero, your art just keeps getting better and better, step by step.  Though I noticed you only painted 10 figures this round...  ;)
