Brigade Games Gladiators

All,
     So I just happily received the 20, Paul Hicks sculpted Gladiators from Brigade Games.  Beautiful figures all.  But, the scuta on the figures who carry them, seem to me far too small.  They are not much bigger than the small shield of the Thraex.
