Thanks, chaps.
Much appreciated.
 :)

Nice one mate! 8) Those SW speeders are definately useful!

They certainly are.
There is another lurking in the loft somewhere which I plan on giving a slightly different look when I get around to it.

It is about time that I posted some pics of the Freedom Fighters that resist the expansion of the tyrannical Baron and his forces, so here they are...

The Human Troopers....

The Alien Troopers....

The Alien Hero, 'Wild Bill'...

And, finally, the Platoon shot...

I have finished a few more since taking these pictures, including more Alien troops using SW WotC bendy heads.
I shall add those later.

They look very cohesive and yet ramshackle enough to be a rebel army, kudos!

That was the 'look' I was aiming for, so thanks for that nod of encouragement.
 :D

There are a few more aliens to be posted, I just need to upload the pictures to here.
In the meantime....

The Ursini (Space Bears!) have joined the ranks of the Freedom Fighters.

Here is a shot of them arriving at the entrance to the secret base in the Forest of the Moon....

(You would never guess it was the entrance to a 'secret base' would ya?)

And alongside some of the Troopers...

Outland: A Sci-Fi Project. (Star Wars Alien Head Squad: Pic Heavy) (08/09)

The next alien Squad are various Blind Beggar figures (and a Lead Adventure Miniatures Steampunk chap) with head swaps. They originally had GW Genestealer Hybrid heads but I could never see myself using them, so they were ripped off (apart from two that were more generic with face masks) and replaced with heads from Star Wars WotC bendies.
Oh, there is also A plastic GW Zombie head in there too, but he now sports some new goggles!

They look much better now, in my opinion anyway.
 ;)

A blurry shot of the new squad..

Followed by some close-up's of them mixed in with other figures from the Freedom Fighter faction...

The SW heads were simply given a drybrush with an ivory/khaki mix and then washed with various colours.

The Platoon now includes a fair few figures now, including a Scout on a 'Wing-Glider', with thirty or so added in the last two weeks.

Impressive use of the SW heads, they look much better then I could imagine.

What are you going to use the SW bendy bodies for I wonder?

I guess they will just go in the bits box now, but if I never use them I do not mind.
They have sat in a box for years so, as I have finally got some use out of them, they have at least served a purpose.

Outland: A Sci-Fi Project. (Slambo, The Baron's Executioner!) (01/10)

Fresh from a FB painting n, I introduce you to...

Slambo, the Baron's Executionor!

That old Citadel classic, Slambo the Chaos Warrior, who also happened to be in the first WD I ever read back in my yoof. I always wanted one then and never managed to get hold of him.

Having acquired one a few years ago, he has been sitting patiently awaiting paint since then, as I simply could not shoehorn him into any of my projects. Until now...

Here he is, joining the Court of The Baron....
