Hard suit proxy and look alike
« on: December 01, 2018, 09:48:36 PM »
Hi there chaps,
I love the look of the hard suit by defiance games,  but as I understand they have gone out of business,  so I was wondering I'd amy one had any ideas for a substitute. Ideally something big and bulky

Thank you

Maschinen Krieger toys?

The model kits are larger scale but the toys usually fit with gaming scales.
cheers

Antenociti's Workshop stopped selling them a long time ago but the FATC guys recently spun off into their own company and have brought them back along with the other Governance of Technology minis.

There is also the Evil Bear Hard Suits.

Their sales site is down (there is a price list on there), but you can email them.

Back in the day when Defiance Games had their hardsuit KS and Antenociti still made the Komodo suit, there was some discussion in regards to if it actually was the same design but it probably wasn't. The Komodo suits were designed by Patrick Soeder (http://www.huatiak.de/), who also did some other commission work for Antenociti's Workshop.

I've no idea if you'd even considered scratch building. But I'm sure it's possible to come up with something of serviceable figure for nothing .So I'll toddle off and see what I can knock up this evening (if for nothing else but my own amusement and to avoid work.)

I had considered it, I have mixed results with green stuff,  but I could give it a try, I hope you have luck with your conversions

I'm afraid this musings is only knocked out in card as I've no real use for them . For me the fun is in the making. This case a hybrid of the ones pictured so far( also to see if can be done.Once I know how quickly it can be done then I could talk you through building your own if you get stuck for options.)
