28mm WW2 Italian Bersaglieri for the Desert

https://yarkshiregamer.blogspot.com/2018/12/28mm-ww2-warlord-italian-bersaglieri.html

Evening all,

It's been a couple of months now since I have posted anything on the old blog, a long holiday and a lack of mojo, but it's back !

A quick show off post of some Warlord Games 28mm WW2 Italian figures just to get me back in the blogging mood.

Enjoy

Regards Ken

Always lovely to see painted Italians, well done. Just for your information, you have reversed the inner and outer colours on theirs helmets for the Italian National emblem.

All the best,

Helen
Best wishes,
Helen

Excellent stuff. How do they compare with Perry's sizewise? Slightly bulkier? I'm not normally keen on Warlord figures with the exaggerated gurning faces but these look relatively normal.
I just use my Perry Italians in sun helmets as Bersaglieri, I couldn't find the mojo to paint any more. I think Perrys missed a trick by not producing a pack of plumes to glue onto their figures wearing sun helmets. I couldn't find the time or inclination to make them myself out of green stuff, life's too short.

Michael Perry need to come back to Italians .... Bersaglieris, Lybian troops, Sahariana troops ... life is too short indeed ...  ;)

They are slightly taller and chunkier than Perrys, they are quite different, the Perrys are a lot cleaner and detailed but from a few feet they look pretty much the same.

Totally agree that the Perrys need to fill the gaps in the range, but you never know, who was expecting the WW2 Cavalry they did recently.
