Looking for skirmish level WW2 rules
« on: December 10, 2018, 07:58:22 AM »
Hey!
Can anyone suggest skirmish level rules, scaled at 5-10 miniatures per player (squad level)?
Looking for a break from regular Bolt Action and Chain of Command games. Small personalized forces, preferably with some king of experience or leveling up you troops between games. Something like Killteam for warhammer.

Operation Squad Evolution (Torriani Games) is an excellent squad-level ruleset, I also like Normandy Firefight & though I haven't played it, I-48 looks decent.

5 men at Normandy/kursk.  And Radio Dishdash just announced that their new game Skermish Normandy is at the printers and should be out soon.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Something like Killteam for warhammer.

Why not just adapt that if it does what you want? It would not be like working with Quantum Theory as your model I'm sure.

That's a really good idea, I may have to try that myself. Fistful of Lead WWII would be pretty easy to convert with the new Galactic Heroes version.

Panzerfauste

I would say Panzerfauste too. Not tried the latest version but the original worked well, probably only works with small forces (less than 10 figures per player).

Have a look at Two Hour Wargames, 'NUTS!' Rules. They are slightly different and play well.
