Which colors can I use to paint cannons?
« on: December 11, 2018, 11:23:00 AM »
In the last days I started  a new project and I already painted some pirates.

Now I would like to paint a cannon in anticipation of the ships (of course I bought also 2 ainsty models and some scores of different miniatures  ...) but I'm not able to determine which colors I have to use.

Any help is really appreciate
Thank you
Davide

Although I painted mine "gunmetal", I agree. Next piece I paint will be black with just a bit of gunmetal mixed with black on the top edges.

As for naval gun carriages, depends on the nation.  I've heard of/seen black, dark red, and natural dark wood color
