TiYo's 10mm ACW Project
« on: December 25, 2018, 05:07:46 PM »
First attempt in 10mm minis : they're so small !!! But i really lov result. My project: to paint the infantry units of the fights of the first day of Gettysburg. The figures are based for the "Billy Yank" rule published in the n°12 Vae Victis magazine . To have a nice mass effect  I use the 25mm gaming scale , but with figurines of "10mm" (for a ratio of 1/5).

I’ve been tempted by 10mm before and you’re not making it any easier to resist - good job on those tiny troops.

Those look great. What manufacturer are they from? Pendraken?

I love 10mm. Amazing size of figures for proper battles, but the proportions on the guys aren't as distorted as on 6mm figures.

Very nice. Two inch wide stands?
And the glorious general led the advance
With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss

Nope they are based for 25mm gaming scale, so total frontage is 23,5 cm (almost 9,25") : four 4,5 cm stands (1,77") and one 5,5cm stand (2,16") . But instead of 21 minis in 25mm, i put 84 minis in 10mm...

You are about to create beautiful massive armies! Cheers!
