I'm sorry for the delay 8)
My project continues, though not as fast as I would like. A squad of crossbowmen from Fribourg

A little bit of civilians and animals

Last year, we held a club game based on the storming of the Green Fence, in which my contingents also participated. A small report from the game:

Fantastic work, you have a really nice painting style and choice of colours.

But more importantly, that battle looks fantastic, really inspirational! I urge everyone to follow his link to the blog. I'm going to spend a long time now looking through all your Swiss/Burgundian and WOTR posts....

Thank you colleagues!  :)
We have been running games on the theme of XV century Europe for ten years now and have collected large collections of miniatures

Yes, I've seen some of your games before... Perhaps on someone else's blog?

What rules do you use?

That's a great question as i'm looking for something for Fornovo which is literally on the cusp of what we consider to be the end of the High Medieval Period and the beginning of The Early Renaissance. Such a boundary is arbitrary but warfare did change during this 'period', that is undeniable.

So? :)

Fantastic looking game and collections.
I cannot read Russian, so wondered if you have decided that the 'green fence/hedge' was entirely man-made?
I'm wondering if it was actually a natural barrier - hedge - which the Burgundians reinforced?

I am thinking of the Schilling Chronicle image on this?

All the best, Simon.

Reports from many of our games can be found in my friend Kirill's blog https://ravenslab.blogspot.com/
For large battles, we use the rules  "The Tree of  Battle". They are perfectly suited for Wars of the Roses, for the European conflict he does not always work correctly. In my reports I try to give a link to the author's website.
Small skirmish format fights in our club are played on the rules of the "Lords & Servants". In Kirill's blog, you can find a lot of reports with games held according to these rules.
Sometimes we play by the rules of Impetus.

What the Green Fence really was was not fundamentally important to us. It was just a good idea for the game scenario. We often refer to the works of our compatriot Andrey Kurkin, a great specialist in the Duchy of Burgundy. His illustrations appear periodically on this forum. The battle plan at the beginning of my report is also drawn by him.
