I picked up a box of 1/72 PSC T-55's to convert to near future or future hover/grav armor. These would be used in 15mm scale. I went with 1/72 for beefier armor as I am looking scifi instead of using 15mm scale armor.
Next will be 1/72 STuG's. Blame Dreamforge for that one.

Grimm

The T-55s with skirts would look very much like some of the Hammer's Slammers vehicles.

Not so sure about the STuG but would be interested to see pics.

The other consideration with WWII kits is that they are available in a lot of different scales, and you can alter things by eg using a 1/72 vehicle alongside 15mm (if you want it to be large) or alongside 28mm if you want a small vehicle (or even a large droid?).

Using WWII kits is a great idea--and you're spot on about the availability of kits. Hmmmm ...

A few years back I chanced across some very cheap 1/72 snap-together kits of the Swedish S tank, and opted for those, straight from the box, alongside my 25mm SF figures.

Oh, good heavens -- I've just looked up images of the S Tank ...  :-*
Cheers,

-- David

Another nice looking vehicle. Thanks for the suggestion.

https://www.butlersprintedmodels.co.uk/  has WW2 and modern items in all three scales plus 10/12mm and 20mm  Their Russian BMP3 with ERA has an SF appearance.

It's great isn't it? I was lucky enough to get up close to one in Stockholm last summer - there was one parked outside the Swedish Army Museum.

Amazingly low profile.

GZG's the only one I can think of, though I'm not sure he does/did the 15mm ones.

They were from the Dirtside II/Future Wars range, and they made tanks in 25mm scale, and 6mm scale.  Actually the latter - Future Wars tank - Model #T-04, I think, based upon the photo.

I suppose it is possible he made them in 15mm too, since I think that was his first range, before he started making them in 6mm and 25mm scale, back in the 1980s, or so.

I forget the name of the model, but it was a very nice looking tank, with an elongated, octagonal shaped hull, and turret, and nice looking main gun.

Not sure if he did IFVs and APCs in 25mm, but imagine at least a few.

He sold off the resin range a while back, and the name of the new owner escapes me, but they are/were in production again, last I checked.

Anyone have a photo of the Dirtside, DSM minis, from #114 - #118?

If so, I'd love to see those.

The catalog image I have cuts off the upper right hand corner for these.  See attached photo from Jon's 6mm GZG ranges.
