TRANSFORMERS G1 (NEW! more Insecticon Clones)
« on: January 01, 2019, 06:05:22 PM »
Here the first of the Transformers miniatures I'm painting: Memor (the italian name of Soundwave) from the Distructor (italian name of the Decepticons). Memor was my favorite character from the original cartoon. I'm considering to paint the Distructor/Decepticon logo on the chest too.
Next I will paint three cassettes.

Man I loved Soundwave. Still have him at my mom's house and my kids played with him. I got him second hand at the time and he certainly got used over the years... totally beat to heck now and the front is broken.

The painting style is great for the subject, excellent.

Can't wait to see the cassettes, Ravage for the win ;)

That looks great, Soundwave was always my favourite too, is that a repainted mega SCF/heroes of Cybertron figure?

Thanks :)
It's a metal miniature, about 50mm (the scale is 10mm, with human figures in that scale).
Send me a PM for more informations about the manufacturer (links and FB group).

Ha I had that one as kid in the 80s. Even as a kid I never really got the scale though he was a tape cassette player that was the same size as the six wheeled truck that was Optimus Prime. Was he actually the smallest transformer ever made out of scale as a toy or was he the biggest Sony Walkman the world had ever seen  lol

Either way nice paint job.

Ah the memories! 8)

Your painting really does them justice, and I'm just loving those models. As a huge (G1) Transformers fan back in the day, I feel the urge to get them myself.

Is this a (sort of) complete range, or does it just have a few major characters in it? I'd love to paint a skirmish force of both Autobots and Decepticons to potentially game with.

Oh; and I just can't get over those language specific names; what's up with that anyway? lol
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

I've sent a PM with the links, at the moment are available all the characters from the first season and some from the second... and devastator will be available too (the single constructicons are yet available) ;)

The scale is not the same, the gi joe miniatures I painted are 28mm, while the transformers are 8mm (for example soundwave is about 50mm of size, while an human figure is 8mm)... however, there are 8mm gi joes too ;)
