Loads of really effective ideas here.

I made some quick and dirty dungeon tiles using black foamcore stuck to self stick vinyl tiles.

With these you mention scribing these - is that with any particular tool, or will a pen work like for blue foam?

You Marylanders should consider attending the mini-con I’m organizing....

Tabletop Events: https://tabletop.events/conventions/scrum-con-2019

Join the Second Saturday Scrum Club for a day of laid back gaming.

Try an RPG like Dungeons & Dragons, Call of Cthulhu, or Pathfinder or grab some tiny metal men for miniatures gaming mayhem.
Meet and play with special guest David "Zeb" Cook (writer of the D&D Expert Set and Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition)
Two gaming sessions (10:00-2:00 and 3:30-7:30). Stick with either RPGs or wargames for both sessions, or mix it up with one of each.
Enjoy a selection of complimentary continental breakfast favorites or lunchtime fare for a modest fee.
Bring your gaming items ready to be re-homed for our flea market table.

All of this for just $8 a ticket!

Add a "Gamers Lunch" (two hot dogs, chips, drink and cookie) for just $4 more!

Feelin' like a V.I.P.? Get the Gamer's Lunch PLUS a Scrum Con convention tee and admission for $32! By Grabthar's Hammer, what a savings!

Space is limited, purchase a badge now and sign up for your morning and afternoon games.

Check out the games schedule and register at Tabletop Events: https://tabletop.events/conventions/scrum-con-2019

I used a clay scribing thing. After texturing the surface with a ball of screwed up foil.

I bought six mats, two for mobile games and four for home, I will be clipping and shaping them for my new terrain build this year onto terrain tiles.

the fur is quite long, the fur is modulated and looks fine flat or raised, worth the purchase as it will save me a lot of time

cheers
Matt

Thanks - I'm now realising that you have the black foam  on the top. I was assuming the tile was on the top, and that you had found some tiles with interesting patterns.

Apologies for being MIA in this threat Grimm, yes, I was referring to DMG tutorials - but of course there is also Black Magic Craft in YouTube for inspiration

Alan, you mean from DMG or other sources?
If other sources please share with the class. :-)

For dungeons, here is my take. Cheap and effective, easy to make but somewhat time consuming:
