Some stellar pics in here - the first pic of the gorilla looming out of the darkness is absolutely class!

Marvellous stuff! I am looking into those rules.

What sets them so apart from rules like Frostgrave or En Garde?

Rules are very RPG lite, and have an excellent solo engine. And also,.unlike En Garde, at least in my opinion, they are actually fun to play! :)

what a great looking table - 'just right' combination of 2D and 3D terrain. When I see something like this, wish I'd persevered with printed game-mats!

I'll take out my next comment - unnecessary in your thread.  ::)

Setting isn't Tolkien at all, really.  The Shadow is more corruption than conquest, and besides, just change the setting! My "regular" Shadow Deep game is Norse inspired...

Of Rangers? I've got one on its way to me!

Prices are in dollars but seems to be coming from the UK going by the delivery price (Royal Mail)

yes, I've ended up doing the same thing, going for the book and pdf bundle (same price as the book atm folks) for the main rules and bloodmoon expansion.

wish the RM service was tracked, but hopefully it'll be ok.
not sure about coming from the UK, as the UPS prices were rather high, but then it does say RM for the cheaper option so ...

It seems too much like a slightly modified Frostgrave of Ghost Archipelago to me. Maybe apart from the solo engine but that wouldn't be my buying motivation anyway. I don't think I will get into this.

Seeing as it’s the same designer, its probably going to be similar.

It is a really fun game! If you don't like FG or GA, you won't like it most likely, but it continues to tweak and improve those rules.

I agree...played both, and so far Sellswords and Spellslingers is the more fun cooperative/solo experience.
