Way Out West - Part One, somewhere in the Arizona Desert, 1889.
"Them Jenkins Brothers never got to grips with the Pinkertons" Josiah Rogan growled to Nathanial Sage; "Time we put this right ..."
Having retired the Jenkins gang (well, what was left of them), I put together a Desperado Gang to face off against the Somnambulist's Pinkertons. We decided to parlay a two part game, using two different rule sets and a 100 year gap between the Two games, but using the same Wild West setup.
For the first game, the gangs had to get into the church and spend an action investigating the altar area. The events in this game would have an effect in the next game.
The 3' x 3' board was set up with the church in one corner, at the end of a diagonal street.
The two gangs set up in the corners, no more than 4" from the board edges.
Cautiously, the gangs started to move into position, Rogan's Roughs taken up a defensive position whilst the Pinkertons started to head towards the church.
Sam Rogan made a mad dash across the coral and started exchanging shots with a couple of Pinkertons. Suffering multiple under fire markers, he managed to shake off a couple over the insuring turns and caused enough of a distraction to allow Josiah Rogan and Nathanial Sage to close on the church.
Jake and Dave Callaghan make for the interior of the General store and open up on the Detectives taking cover behind the water trough and hitching rail.
Nate Sage managed to get the drop on the Special Agent and put two under fire markers on him; at the same time Josiah Rogan appeared at the corner of the church and finished of the Special Agent.
Meanwhile, a couple of the detectives pushed towards the church, one of which levelled his shotgun at Bill Rogan ... Bill didn't know what him.
Nate and Josiah inspect the strands altar and the scene ends, leaving the dead to the earth ...
