Well, I've one last wip photo, but I can't post it as it involves painting, so you'll have to use your imaginations. :D
I've painted the tree with CDA chestnut brown over a black undercoat, then drybrushed CDA field blue to give the wood an aged look. It looks rather viscous but does work once the canopy's added to the tree and you're not looking to close.
Final stage is to glue woodlands scenic coarse turf to the branches with pva glue (brunt grass flavour is my preference) and the even finaler stage is to add a base to improve stability, it will stand without a base but is prone to bumps and knocks.
So the next time you see the tree it will be the finished entry and hopefully I'll remember to not post a picture of it by accident.

Nicely done! That was quick! :o What about doing a few trees and adding a wee base?

Still got a couple of days of gluing green sponge to my fingers yet. ;D

As for more, I've already got 15 done, with another two to base and another two under construction. This one jumped ahead of the queue as I sometimes abandon the job when my attention wanders, as it is now I'm pushing myself to finish this, before I go and start casting craters again.

Very nice work. Does the fish glue (Copydex) stay quite thick? or does it lose its "weight" upon drying?

It loses a bit of weight as the water carrier evaporates but stays a reasonable thickness , it's not something I think about much, like most over here we've used the stuff since soon after birth so instinctively know it's properties, yet struggle to explain anything about it.  ;)
