My Warhammer 40,000 Projects. Opening Pandora's Box
« on: December 25, 2018, 03:48:32 AM »

After not playing Warhammer 40,00 since 2nd edition my wife and I recently picked up the "First Strike" starter box.  I've decided I'm going to try and get this starter set painted before I play out the starter scenarios. I started with the Plague marines because they looked like the biggest challenge and the most fun to paint.

I put up an in depth guide to how I painted these on my blog. https://ironworkersminiatures.blogspot.com/2018/12/warhammer-40000-first-strike-death.html

I'm looking forward to getting into this game again.

Hey IW, when did you start sneaking back in?
Been missing your work showing up on the forums.
Loving these pics above you posted.
Hoping to see mire.
Who/what bases are your IG using?

I've actually been playing a lot over the last few years I just haven't been posting anywhere about it.  Those bases are Rendara (sp?).

Nice work.

Is this part of a coordinated attempt to tempt me (and others) back to 40K?

Nicely done. Finished painting up the First Strike starter set recently myself and got in a couple of games with my 9 year old nephew yesterday we had a lot of fun.

Another nod to those paint jobs. Really gross - in the best possible way.
