Slough Feg and Medb - Northstar Miniatures
« on: January 14, 2019, 06:57:14 PM »
I’m currently working on various Celtic myth miniatures that I’ve had hanging around for ages, but these were new to me! I popped into Northstar last year and the ever-helpful Karl drew my attention to the small but fab Celtic Mythology range, in which I discovered a weird sorcerer and a witch - somewhat perfect for Slough Feb and Medh from the 2000 AD Slaine story, ‘The Horned God’.

I believe that these were sculpted by Roy Eastland back in the nineties for an unreleased Slaine game. I stuck a big scenic base onto the weird sorcerer figure, and added crows from Great Escape games to both models for that doomy Celtic vibe.

These were a joy to paint and will be on the gaming table as soon as possible!

Ah, I liked those two since Northstar started to offer them!
Some day... when I delve into fantasy skirmishing... I'll get them, too.

Great painting and the basing is particularly excellent! Very inspiring.
