It’s the bit with the extra vision slots added between the original cupola and the turret itself. Retrofitted onto tanks from around 1967 or so. Nicely done. Neither the Revell/Monogram or the Corgi versions feature this.

Great news on the spare track link. Can hardly wait to see the finished item.

What sort of decals are you after? You’ll find plenty of 1/48 white stars, if that’s what you want. Things like USMC lettering etc you will probably need to raid from existing kits or 1/56 decal sets. As there have only ever been a couple of 1/48 plastic M-48 kits made in the last 50 years, one of them a ‘snaptite’ toy, the aftermarket decal selection doesn’t exist.

Ged’s no fool though and as the model is being sculpted by someone who already produces custom made decals for his own ranges I suspect it’s already sorted.
