Otherworld Miniatures Barbed Devil
« on: June 07, 2009, 09:30:17 PM »
After a looong time of project-related painting and endless hours of commission painting, I simply HAD to paint something JUST FOR FUN! Heck, it is not even playable because of the base!!!

When I found these Barbed Devils on the Otherworld Website, I was instantly reminded of the daemons Bosch painted, so I simply had to have them!!! ;D
The skull on the base wears the circular inscription LUCIDUS IN LUCIDUS EST in withered letters...

Nice painting. As usual. Why do I comment at all? Yours are always nice.

Gorgeous highlighting, matey! And red is always difficult for me, you have done it so well. How did you paint the reds?

The Otherworld devils do have this medieval/renaissance feel to them, don't they?

The blending from black to red is also extremely well done. I think we would benefit from some close-up pics  :D
