Few german vehicles with crew
«
on:

Hey there!
I was of the stern opinion to leave crew off from vehicles, but found them to look rather boring then. So in a change of heart and idea, I crewed a new batch of vehicles and gave some old ones a much needed do over as well! Some pictures might follow as I continue painting the bunch or build more!
Opinions are appreciated as always! As is constructive criticism!

They look much better with the crew figs.
Any way to add those in temporarily, but still have them be removable too, like say with mini-magnets?
Tank crew figs can definitely be done that way, so perhaps the others could be too.l

Definitely have the crew. Who make the truck models?

The first Opel Blitz is by Warlord Games. It comes with the option to build either a Maultier or a Opel Blitz truck with open or closed canopy!
The second one, with the soldier on the machinegun comes from Rubicon, and only comes with the option of building the truck. Also with an open or closed canopy.
I can recommend both kits thoroughly!

Very nice but I shudder to think of the occasion when Zi would want to fire a LMG from a truck.

Mhm, I thought about it as well. I might have to add a few sandbags or something around it so it doesn't evoke the 'it'll make a scratch in the paintjob and drop off' impression.
I thought about a stand for it, sort of like LRDG jeeps, but the books I had had no info on such. Thanks for the feedback though!

That would be “I”. My typing skill are weak, I’m afraid.

Ah! Enlightenment! No your typing should be fine, a slip happens to the best every now and then.

A recent addition! Comes with sand bags and barbed wire to hold of any enemy infantry trying to clamber atop of it, to chuck a grenade in.
Yet to be painted, and thus far only primed!

Hey there! Sorry for the brief hiatus!
Either way, I'm back with a few more simple conversions. Most of these figures have received a head from the newer german sets from Warlord Games, seeing as I dislike the old metal ones more and more. Where the swap didn't look natural I created a scarf using greenstuff. I really like the miniatures, and must say, the newer kits do add a lot of character to them. Wouldn't you agree?
Either way, looking forward to feedback as always! Mind you, sooner or later they will also be painted, at the moment however, they're basecoated.

Sorry for the brief hiatus! Here's the occupants with various equipment to give them a veteran appearance!
