OGAM 28mm Inca Project
« on: January 30, 2019, 09:20:44 AM »
I know, i know, i start the year with too much Projects but i can't stop the inspiration's machine now  !!!
 o_o o_o o_o

There is an official list that i'll use as backbone for my Project. The list is not as fun as i wanted (in contrary that the one for the Maori) . But i'll try to make some resarch to complete my needs. Here is my Pinterest board https://www.pinterest.fr/Nervisfr/apocalypto-america-conquest/[/b]]https://www.pinterest.fr/Nervisfr/apocalypto-america-conquest/

Thankfully, i get a lot of Foundry's Inca via a deal with Rumacara (once again Rui, thank you).
i have the core troops now !

Troops need a good general ! I have the figurine but not the Litter.
So i start a scratchbuild of the well-known general vehicule of the great Inca leaders.

Here is the first steps done.

The base is Playmobil basket with thin lead leaf as decorations and big paper clips as poles  ;):

To the paint desk !

with these guys from Outpost Wargame Service's Inca range :

These are the Litter porters from the excellent range. They are mixable with the Foundry ones too !
Once again, i'll thank you Jeff from OWS for his kindness and his relationship skills. Highly recommanded  ;)

Glad to see the Incas are remembered. Shouldn't they be remembered in one of the more modern boards, however?

Someday I'll understand the classification system here. I suspect the effect on my brain might resemble reading the Necronomicon:D

Some of you can be surprise to learn that i don't use the original Litter from Outpost.
The reason is simple : For a question of weight and glueing  o_o

Generally a metal liller is heavy and i don't like to build this kind of pieces.
When i saw the basket in my daughter's Playmobil stock, i naturaly choose to use it as my Litter.

The poles are inserted into the litter with Chupa Chup lollypops'pipes. Glued under the basket side and hidden by the lead leaf as a decoration blanket
The same pipes are used for the bearers' arms support.
This is for a better paint job than to glue every things before painting.
I dont like to glue after paint job too.
So here it's a crossover between the two methods.
Every piece are painted individualy and glue after. But in a discret way.
The Litter 's poles are insert into the bearer's pipe held in their arms so not glue effect can be seen.....

i hope you can understand the principle of this conversion.  ;)
Light, handy and practical !
 :D

i'll post a picture of an assembly test to show you the final result i hope to get

Nice work so far! I am a big fan of specifically Mayan history, but it is good to see an Inca project in the works!
