I hope its Ok to show images of the new Light Cavalry figures that Oliver is working on, for our 28mm Italian Wars Range.
These are work in progress, but the first release will be figures carrying lances - useful as supporting ranks for knights, flag bearers and chevau-legers etc.
As you see, new horse sculpts and we'll offer options for sallets and burgonets.

Hoping for these to be added in March and we'll advise when we have release date.
if these are well received, we plan to add variants with crossbows and arquebuse.
Cheers
Simon.

These are stunning, the poses look so natural. They almost don't look like model soldiers they look that real. Well done chaps

Well they look jolly good. Love the sallets. Nice gee-gees too. Those fellows have a hard and businesslike look about them.
In common with Oliver’s earlier output, they do look a little chunkier than Michael Perry’s figures. As a fellow Perryphile, are you happy that they’ll be fully compatible, Simon?

Thanks for the comments.
Re matching Perrys I think that Oliver’s sculpts do fit well with Perry size and general styling etc. I’ve not seen these models in the flesh yet, but of course apart from the old Foundry, which are a little small by today’s average figure size), there are no Perry models for this period!
😉
Cheers. Simon

lol

True enough.

Then again as we know, some people have artfully and artistically converted the Perry WOTR figures into early C16th use, so I feel sure a degree of compatibility would be advantageous  ;)

True captain Blood...!
When we have the first castings, I’ll do some comparisons with other ranges, as we did with the Landsknechts. I think Perry and TAG maybe the main two?
Cheers

These look fantastic.

I'd be very interested in seeing the horses alongside the Perry WOTR horses (both the plastics and the smaller metal ones), and how the saddles are designed (on the horses or the riders?), as I'd like to use them for my 15th century project.

Will the sallet heads be available separately? I definitely want to get some of them.

I'll probably just buy the whole set!

Looking forward to seeing the crossbows and arquebus - will they be the same bodies with new arms, or entirely different sculpts?

Thanks - most of those questions will be answered in due course, but good to know there’s interest in the sallets.
I can tell you that Oliver designs riders with saddle attached, so if you use with Perry plastic horses ( or vice versa) you’ll need to do a bit of trimming/putty work.

Personally I don't care if they match the Perry's, these are the light cavalry I have been waiting for for soooo long!!
Keep up the good work Simon and Oliver.
