The first twenty minutes of the new Lego Movie (Lego Movie 2: The Second Part) is set in Apocalypseburg and was clearly inspired by Mad Max: Fury Road. There are some new kits out as well.

Not going to lie I'm building at least one vehicle based off something I saw :)

The best one I've seen in a good while is Scorched Earth. In my mind a real sleeper. Not the high quality of ht latter Mad Max or Eli, but I liked it enough to buy a copy. Has it all, one tough female bounty hunter, Mad Maxian cars, plenty of action and great costumes all wrapped up in a very entertaining story.

Thanks to all for the suggestions.  I've seen most of the films mentioned at least once.  Still not quite what I am looking for.  The Lead Adventure Post-Apocalyptic figures must have drawn their inspiration from something.

You need to grab the Metro 2033 books then

Indeed.  However, the first book is currently unavailable in English for Kindle!

Yeah, I don't quite understand it.  If a Kindle version exists, it does!

If you want a good laugh from some "B" movies, try:

She
2020 Texas Gladiators
America 3000

If you want a nice tough gritty one try  DefCon4

All have stuff worth emulating in a game.

Enjoy!

Nemesis.   at least I think it was the title.

Cherry 3000. (With a young Meg Ryan)

Blade Runner.  (Not a perfect match)

The 1959 film of On The Beach is stark, devastating and about 35 minutes too long. You'll never want to listen to "Waltzing Matilda" again.

The 2000 remake starring Armand Assante (WTF?) is abysmal. Don't waste your time.

Day of the Jugger

This is the important one. Best sports film too. Wish we had this one on Netflix here. Love it to bits.

Anyone knows "The end of August at the hotel Ozone"? It goes by various names ("End of the world at ...", "Late August at ..."). It's a late 60s film from Czechoslovakia, which makes it even more interesting: old world has collapsed, and a group of Eastern girls travels through a country in ruins, scavenging for survival, totally unaware of the society that used to be. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCE5sdKSDR0
