There's no shortage of photos for inspiration. Really looking forward to seeing them.

Thank you everyone for all the positive comments on the figures so far. Looking forward to getting to grips with the next phase. I’ve been watching PBS’ The Vietnam War documentary for primary source material for the battle of Hue to get the feel.

Thanks again

Not read Bowden's book yet, but for those looking for great reads about the Vietnam War then I can highly recommend:
'A Rumor of War' by Philip Caputo, 'Chickenhawk' by Robert Mason & 'The 13th Valley' by John M. Del Vecchio

phase line green was a pretty good book to about the battle of Hue.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

I've started watching the Ken Burns series from the start. It's on Netflix. I'm about half way through the Bowden book.

If Empress are looking outside of Hue too, then the 1965 Ia Drang encounters during the Pleiku campaign could be a good basis? Hal Moore's book is a gripping (and in places harrowing) read.

I will have to look out for that.

I finally found my 1990 Osprey Campaign book on Tet. I suspect there have been a lot of changes since that was published.

Alongside the Bowden book - which I enjoyed simply because it gives a lot space to the perspective and actions of the National Liberation Front - a good accompaniment was the Eric Hammel photo book “Marines in Hue City, A Portrait Of Urban Combat, Tet 1968”. I got the electronic version.

Yes that's one of the earlier fights we have targeted.

Excellent! There are so many moments and people in that book for inspiration. Battalion HQ in particular! What a pack that would make.

Yes! Basil Plumley, he'd be very distinctive.

Received my parcel today, in real the figures look better. Wonderful and full of character. Great work from Paul again.
