I would also like 1/50 in order to be able to combine with other models. A properly based 28mm look perfect beside a 1/50 vehicle, even if the vehicle interior might be a bit spacious

My two pennorth worth is stick to 1/50. It works well enough with 28mm figures and it has definite advantages from a commercial point of view. You already have an established range of vehicles in 1/50. Wargamers, being the gadflies that they are, will likely mix things from your Vietnam and modern ranges for other conflicts. You already do M-113s, M-106s etc.

Customers are also likely to mix with other ranges. Solido, TAG and the new Gringo 40 ranges are all in the 1/48-1/50 bracket. Going somewhere else seems a bit perverse. Gaining leverage from other ranges seems sensible.

Personally, I’m not wedded to any given scale, I freely mix ‘n’ match but that has more to do with availability than anything else. That said, given the choice I’d like to see a standardised scale and 1/50 seems to be the choice of most existing manufacturers.

Dunno whether the Corgi sits high on its suspension (a problem with at least one well known 1/35 kit) but it is worth pointing out that the M-48 is a honking big vehicle.

As one whose vehicle collection for Nam is mostly Corgi, I would be disappointed to see you change scales for other vehicles. I have hunted high and low for their M-48, trucks and Gun trucks only to find that their M113s and Jeep/Mutts were 1/43 and did not match in any way.
Cheers,

Please go with 1/50.
I have a large number of Corgi 1/50 scale.
I find they go well with my TAG figures.
But, it does not bother me if the scale is a little off.

I’ll chime in as a contrarian without an existing NAM collection. I prefer smaller vehicles and so am unlikely to buy anything as ‘large’ as 1/50 (the civilian vehicles I’ve already acquired are 1/55). TBH as I’m concentrating on max-platoon level street fighting in Hue, for scene setting and street cover civilian vehicles are perhaps more important to me though if there was a Mule (preferably in recoilless and supply/casevac versions) and an Ontos in a scale that worked for me I’d almost certainly buy them.

As to where on the scale range the optimum market resides, I have no idea  :D

There is so much scope for this that it could keep you going for years.

I'd be happy with 1:50 for the vehicles too.

I think the usual scale of 1/56 would be nice. Could bolster some stuff with Warlord vehicles as well. But just my opinion!  ;)

Still in recovery mode from Salute, which was its usual bonkers madness  :o

We will of course stick with 1/50th scale.

Got the next 8 Marines and the next 4 are finished and others being completed so the sausage machine is turning.

I will put pictures up of the new figures in a few days so enjoy the anticipation.  ;D
