I noted on the web page that it comes with MG ammo cans (very useful).

Any chance of some 0.50" HMG cans for the M48 etc?

The 30cal tins are in a big block of them on the turret roof with a radio jammed between them.  Was part of the Aussie fit.

The NVG book has a number of photographs of M48A3s in Vietnam with 0.50" ammo boxes along the track guards, I was just asking if ammo boxes could be in the next stowage set.

Unfortunately we are now sold out of the Centurions. Bit stunned at how fast as we had quite a big batch so sorry for that  :'(

Huge hugs and kisses for the nice comments  :-*

We can look at the 50 cal ammo box as I think we may need another stowage set moving forward.

I might let you all see some more previews next week if you are all good and stay at home. ;)

To give you something to keep you occupied whilst Mr Teasey slow drips the previews of tye Australians, have a read of some thematic material courtesy of the Australian Defence Force.

The last one is post-Vietnam but almost nothing had changed in the interim.

PS the most significant change was the adoption of a sniper section in the support company in the early ‘80s. No dedicated snipers in Vietnam.

Thanks Carlos.

The platoon organisation is very useful.

Carlos, did that Sniper Section have a name/title?

Carlos - many thanks for the info on the Australians. Just the information I needed. Going to need some more Empress figures to make a platoon up!

On a separate note, the film 'Danger Close' is being released tomorrow. Hoping it will provide some inspiration. Reviews seem to be mixed though?

Also, Mr Eaglestone, if you do get round to doing decals for your lovely Vietnam stuff can I request decals for 'Mad Harlot' the M48 pictured moving next to the Citadel wall at Hue (approaching Dong Ba tower). Also, did the Australians name their Centurions and can we see some decals for them as well! Not asking for much  :D

Is there anything in the "Odd Angry Shot"

Had a look at a clip of 'The Odd Angry Shot' last night and it looked like a load of toss! The clip of Danger Close looked good. As others have said on this thread, there are some great videos on YouTube about the Long Tan battle. One explained the troop movements really well!

I don't know what battalion you served back then but in the late seventies we had snipers in our support company.
Best wishes,
Helen
