Thanks guys.
I wasn't going to do Viet-Nam. I mean I haven't even started all the Indo-China
figures purchased over the last two years, but a buddy let slip it was on his,
'I want to do list'. Hopefully as a skirmish.  I always had a soft spot for the ARVIN,
especially when I read of division that in one year had more fatalities from road accidents
than combat! added to that the fact that one of their top officers was cashiered for selling
his troops rice ration to the VC ????

A big “thank you” for sharing this! It’s fascinating and really shows that their’s so much more to wargaming Nam than some might imagine 👍
No problem, My main fouces for the conflict will be ARVAN.... Ok and American/ARVAN Airborne since i was a paratrooper in my misspent youth.  lol
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Well you really need some Australians so you can add 1 RAR to your 173rd Airborne Brigade as per 1965.  :D

Every now and again one bumps into something that just seems to have got missed. I confess that our latest release pretty much fits into this area.

We have just released a 28mm - 1/50 scale CT15A armoured truck.

The CT15A was produced in Canada and used by both Canadian and British forces in the last year of WW2.
However its operational life extended far beyond WW2. British forces left their vehicles, including the CT15A's with French forces in French Indo China. There they remained in operation until the French  left Vietnam in the 1950's. The vehicles were then passed to South Vietnamese troops and remained in front line operation with ARVN forces until the end of the conflict when the few remaining were adopted by the North Vietnamese Forces

Various versions were used as well as the armoured truck version. Most notably as an ambulance.

This vehicle is 28mm - 1/50 scale and comes with the option of the tarp up or discarded. Made in high density resin and pewter parts.
We will obviously be crewing this vehicle with various relevant crews in the future from WW2, to FIC, to Vietnam.

Uhhh. That was in use by the danish army until it got replaced with the M113 in the mid 60's. I could use that for my danish cold war army...

Its danish name is Mosegrisen. Directly translated it is the bogpig, but the animal in question is the waterrat.

Luverly! I’ll have to get at least two. One for my colonial Portuguese.

You can use ‘em for post-war Malaya as well, which allows you to paint them blue.

In Vietnamese service they seem to have typically received an extension to the armour, raising it around the cargo area’s sides, sometimes with, sometimes without, square loopholes. Easy enough to add with plastic card and as they seem to be local conversions, possibly not universal anyway. Might be an extra if you do a dedicated SVN crew pack.

Excellent, my Late War British will love them (even more so when they get some crew - maybe some British crew for the jeeps as well?)

New release- This is a sprue of 4 heads wearing Vietnamese sun hats.

This type of head was incredibly common and worn by both civilians and military. The pictures all show examples of what can be achieved and are from our existing range.

They can be used on our existing range to change the figures into multi types.

To attach the heads cut of the head of the figure and clean up with a knife or file. Drill a small hole in the neck area of the figure. Test the head to make sure it looks correct. Not too long a neck and not too short. Glue in place with Super Glue type glues.
