Pulp Alley creature/animal stats?
« on: February 07, 2019, 07:45:10 PM »
Looking for examples of Pulp Alley styled cards/stats for NPC wild creatures, varying fom zero legs (snakes) up to eight legs (spiders, etc.)

No luck so far in my search of this sub-forum, or PA forum.

I know there are couple listed in some of the supplements.

Somebody has to have used stuff like big apes, big cats, big and little snakes, etc., right?

Could just gen up my own, but thought some vetted examples would be nice.

Thanks...

I'd suggest starting with the Beast ability, then decide how powerful you want it to be and pick an ability or two that fits the beastie. Here are a few examples to help you get started --

Small Game (Level 1)
Beast, Speedy, Animal
2d6 Dodge, 2d6 Cunning, No Shoot
Health d6*

Medium Predator (Level 2)
Beast, Animal, Fierce
4d6 Brawl, 3d6 Might, No Shoot
Health d6

Large Game (Level 3)
Beast, Big, Animal, Indomitable
4d10 Brawl, No Shoot, 3d6 Dodge, 4d10 Might, No Finesse, 2d6 Cunning
Health d10

Large Predator (Level 4)
Beast, Animal, Fierce, Inhuman, Savage
5d12 Brawl, No Shoot, 4d10 Dodge, 3d10 Might, 3d10 Finesse, 2d8 Cunning
Health d10

We're actually working on a new Pulp Alley book called Pulp Characters that will be filled with about 400 pre-made characters -- including assorted beasties.  ;)

That will be a very useful pdf for quick games and scenario building.   :)
