Time Machine 2.0 - WIP
« on: February 10, 2019, 07:46:24 AM »
For my 15mm Victorian travelers.

More angles here:

Please note that I still need to give the floor a wood plank texture and also add a railing to the shield on the bow.

That said, do you gents have any thoughts, suggestions, critique on the attempt so far?

By the way, since this contraption would be for when the Time Traveler makes a second trip to free the Eloi from the Morlocks, I’m actually thinking of naming the short girl with the big rifle Weena.  :)

Dan,

As usual, you are "Da Man"!  Very impressive, but I see you have gone over to the 25mm Dark Side and abandonded the 15mm Force.  >:D

Be that as it may great work!

And yes, you are making me jealous.  ;D  Keep it up!

Dan,

You know you are going to have to post construction tutorial for all the rest of us, right?  I love the bow grill work.  Source?

Thanks guys!

Figures: a combination of Rebel Minis and Highlander Studios, plus I’m about to grab a few of the new cave dwellers from TheScene.UK*

Brass accents: from an ebay vendor of stamped brass “findings”

Very nice! I’ve often thought of making a time machine myself. Might have to now!

Yes, definitely go for it.  I’d love to see other versions.  Please put it on your to-do list.

While I figure out how best to paint my chronomobile (would that be the right term for a time machine?) I thought about making a little “stage” for taking photos of my Morlocks and other subterranean flora and fauna when I eventually get those figures painted.

What do you guys think of what I came up with?

More pics of that little photo “stage” project here:

I’ve already started on a Morlock “pump” machine that will leak fuel into that little puddle.  It will be a removable piece, depending on the context of the figures I photograph.  For other completely different VSF settings I could have my painted figures facing some creature coming out of the water, like this one here:

A very nice little scenic piece you've created there - well done. Love the dripping cave effects looks very realistic.

May I ask where is that tentacled horror from?

Thanks!

As for the ball of tentacles, the tentacles are from a plastic hanging garland I bought at Hobby Lobby long ago.  I’ve already used those tendrils on a couple of things:

Very nice stage and backdrop.
Maybe a giant mushroom forest?

Do  Lavamen   live there too?

Or giant flying eyeballs?

Whoa, those critters look cool!

Who makes them?  And are they suitable for 15mm gaming?
